Bottle Unscrambler

Motion Controls Robotics’ Bottle Unscrambler is a pre-engineered robotic system to reorient (stand up) plastic bottles after being washed or surface treated. The system allows for down-stream leak detection and robotic packing/palletizing without human interaction. Utilizing the speed and vision capabilities of Fanuc’s robots the system is not only easy to use, but meets and exceeds production rates. The robotic descrambler takes bottles that have undergone a process which causes them to be scattered, and reorients them onto a flat top conveyor. Using vision a picture of each bottle is taken as it moves down a conveyor. The robot then calculates the “pick” position, and order of picking. Each bottle can be picked and placed onto a separate flat top conveyor for down-stream processes.
