Electrical Engineer

Motion Controls Robotics, located in Fremont, Ohio, is looking for a full-time Electrical Engineer/Designer to join their growing team. This position requires a motivated individual with knowledge of electrical control systems and a basic to intermediate understanding of mechanical systems. Strong communication and computer skills are a must with the desire to learn, work with a project team, and perform in a fast-paced environment to meet scheduled deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design electrical schematics for automated and robotic equipment using CAD software
  • Complete electrical enclosure designs in CAD software to meet UL 508A ICP requirements
  • Work with a project team to develop concepts and design solutions for automated and robotic equipment
  • Create project specific bill of materials to complete ordering for each individual project
  • Communicate and meet with vendors to establish job and application specific design and material requirements
  • Hot check electrical enclosures and equipment using electrical test equipment
  • Perform required sensor and control equipment testing to prove out the concept and select project components
  • Use organizational skills to maintain a neat and organized work environment to work at maximum efficiency

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Two-year technical degree in electrical/electronics or at least 1-5 years of related work experience
  • Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical Preferred)
  • Advance knowledge of electrical control systems
  • Basic knowledge of Mechanical systems
  • Microsoft Office and strong computer skills
  • Experience using electrical test equipment (I.E. Multimeter)
  • Knowledge of Power Distribution, PLCs, and industrial control panels.
