Position Overview

The Software Engineer will assume the execution role as part of a team leading the technical advancement of Motion Control’s Industry 4.0 software platform.  Receiving programming/design direction from the Lead Software Developer, you will implement our custom software into custom robotic cells and systems.  The ideal candidate will have a strong ability in multiple code languages, excellent computer literacy, ability to focus on essential information and identify key details.

Fundamental Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing the architecture for system and plant networking.
  • Work with both internal development teams as well as third parties.
  • Implement design and processes as directed to create prototypes or finished products.
  • Follow standards for interface control across multiple data, business process, automation/robotics, and human interface systems.
  • Collaborate across functional teams and business groups to assist the Lead Software Engineer in formulating an implementation framework addressing scalability, security, cost and factory automation requirements.
  • Able to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
  • Able to work with minimal guidance and/or supervision, following project checklists.
  • Ability to collaborate well with other team members.

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in full stack development.
  • Automation programming experience, preferred.
  • Ability to code in multiple languages.
  • C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, SCADA, SQL & Ignition experience.
  • Principles of Agile Software Development.

Job Type-   Full-time
Residency:  This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen.
Location: On-site at Fremont, Ohio.
Pay:  $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 in accordance with job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
** In 2023, MCRI is investing in a 25,500 square foot building expansion - adding new, hi-tech job opportunities in Sandusky County.
*  Minimal travel is required to job sites pending project deliverables for startups.
