Whether you need a simple panel update, or a complex panel built for a robotic system, MCRI delivers solutions optimized for efficiency and performance.
UL508A Compliance & Safety
As a UL508A-certified panel shop, we ensure all panels meet the highest standards of electrical safety, wiring, and enclosure design. Our designs also align with NFPA 79 and NEC regulations for industrial machinery. To further enhance safety, we include voltage indicators that allow operators to verify that power is completely shut off during Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, eliminating the need to open the panel to confirm de-energization.

Industry Example
UL Control Panel Integration in the Building Materials Industry
A company in the building materials industry approached us with a challenge: they needed automated bag insertion machines installed on multiple production lines. However, the standard off-the-shelf solutions did not seamlessly integrate with their existing equipment and control systems.
Leveraging our expertise in UL508A-certified industrial control panels, we designed and built a control solutions that ensured smooth communication between the new bag insertion machines and their existing automation infrastructure. Our engineering team modified the system to accommodate unique production requirements, ensuring efficient operation and coordination with PLCs and HMIs already in place.
By updating the electrical control panels and optimizing the motor control systems, we provided a turnkey solution that enhanced efficiency, reliability, and process automation. The result was a streamlined material handling system that improved production flow, reduced downtime, and ensured compliance with industry safety standards.
This project highlights our ability to integrate control panels for specialized applications across various industries, delivering flexible, high-performance automation solutions for specific operational needs.

Questions about Control Panels? We have the answers.
What does UL508A certification mean for control panels?
UL508A is a certification standard for industrial control panels, ensuring they meet electrical safety, construction, and performance standards set by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). It confirms compliance with NFPA 79, NEC, and other industrial safety codes to reduce risks such as electrical hazards and fire.
Why is UL508A certification important for industrial control panels?
UL508A certification provides third-party verification that a control panel is designed and built to comply with industry safety regulations, ensuring reliability and compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and NEC standards. Many industries, including food & beverage, medical, and automotive, require UL-certified panels to meet safety requirements.
How does MCRI ensure quality in control panel manufacturing?
MCRI follows quality control processes, including:
- UL508A-certified panel building procedures
- High-quality components from trusted vendors
- Comprehensive testing and verification before handover
