Job Title: Application Engineer
Position Overview:
MCRI is looking for an innovative individual to join our team as an Application Engineer. Application Engineers work with our Sales and Engineering teams to develop customer project concepts and provide technical product support by configuring MCRI’s packaging solutions that meet customer requirements. Our Application Engineers also take the lead in overseeing and managing revisions during the quoting process.

Fundamental Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develops customer project concepts and provide technical product support by configuring MCRI’s packaging solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Conceptualize, define and develop complete technical proposals for custom packaging solution applications.
- Lead the proposal development process by reviewing RFQs (Request for Quote).
- Collaborate with the Regional Sales team.
- Confer with Engineering teams to determine system requirements, assess equipment capability and ensure concepts are feasible.
- Lead and oversee the project quoting “Life Cycle” (system costing, system layout drawings (2D & 3D) and system proposals).
- Develop and maintain an expert level knowledge of MCRI product lines.
- Provide technical support to Regional Sales team on products and in promoting sales and services.
- Attend training seminars, trade shows, and continuing education events
Qualifications
- Minimum of a two-year degree in a technical field required.
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field desired.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and multitasking skills when under pressure.
- Ability to produce written and verbal communication at a professional business and technical level.
- Ability to support multiple projects, schedule resources, meet deadlines and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD and Inventor 3D software.
- 1-3 years’ experience developing applications with robotics and/or automation design and integration.
- Experience interacting with customers is desired.
