robotic-growth robotic-growth2 robotic-growth3Fremont/Sandusky County was ranked in the top 25 micropolitan regions for business advancement and expansion in Northwest Ohio. In 2014 Sandusky County businesses announced over 200 million dollars’ worth of capital investment projects.

Sandusky County Economic Development interviewed companies around the county that were involved in business development projects in 2014/2015. MCRI was one company from Sandusky County interviewed based on an expansion project that they finished in 2015. This expansion included adding more square footage for office space and their robot cell build area. This expansion allowed for MCRI to hire more employees and have a designated area for robot maintenance – freeing space on the build floor. Read previous news about expansion

Tim Ellenberger, Vice President of MCRI, explains in the video,

“MCRI has grown consistently over the last 20 years… We can use this (the expansion) not only for potential customers of ours but as support for potential businesses coming into Sandusky County.”
