Green tire spray systems apply controlled coatings to uncured tires before molding and curing. Depending on the application, the process may include inside tire lubricant, outside anti-blemish or mold-release coating, or a combined inside-and-outside spray process.
Systems can identify or measure each arriving tire, adjust spray parameters to the selected recipe, position the tire for application, and contain overspray while applying the required amount of material. Configurations are available for random-arrival production, high-volume indexed processing, low-volume or backup operation, and custom tire sizes.

Tire mix, production rate, loading method, and level of automation determine which spray platform makes sense. RTS supports randomly arriving mixed tires, DTS is designed for higher-volume indexed production, and HTS provides a portable option for trials, backup, and lower-volume needs.
RTS Platform Single-Station Robotic Green Tire Spraying
The RTS platform measures or identifies each randomly arriving tire, adjusts to its dimensions and recipe, and applies the required amount of green tire spray or mold release. Robotic handling supports flexible production where tire sizes and recipes can change from tire to tire.

Expert Insight
Green tire spraying is not a one-size-fits-all process. Tire size, spray area, recipe, loading method, and production rate all affect how the equipment should measure, handle, and apply material. The goal is consistent coverage with the least practical overspray and a system the plant can operate and support long term.
Tire dimensions, plant layout, material flow, spray chemistry, containment requirements, and production goals can require a custom approach. MCRI can engineer green tire spray equipment around the application rather than forcing the process into a standard footprint.
Bladder Spray System
An automated bladder spray system applies a controlled lubricant coating to new tire curing bladders before they enter production. The system can measure bladder dimensions, automatically adjust spray pattern and fluid volume, and apply a uniform coating using precision fluid delivery. Integrated conveyor handling moves bladders through measurement, spraying, and unload stations for a repeatable process designed to support bladder life and tire uniformity.
Large & Heavy Tire Applications
For large and agricultural tire applications, heavy-duty FANUC M-900 or M-410 robot handles the tires while a FANUC M-10 robot manages the spray process. The system can be configured around tire size, weight, orientation, and required spray coverage to provide controlled handling and repeatable material application. Custom layouts are integrated to match the plant process and available space.
AGVs and AMRs for Efficient Transport
AGVs or AMRs can be integrated with tire processing equipment to automatically move tires into the system, between process steps, or on to the next operation. The transport system can coordinate with conveyors, robots, identification systems, and production controls to keep tires moving in the correct sequence. This reduces manual handling while giving manufacturers more flexibility in how tires are routed through the plant.
