Motion Controls Robotics, based in Fremont, Ohio, provides fully integrated robotic systems to a variety of industries, including food and beverage, consumer packaged goods and manufacturing. These industries are integrating robotics in record numbers, so Motion Controls Robotics is expanding our operation to meet our growing customer and employee needs.
Scott Lang, president of Motion Controls Robotics, believes this high demand for robotics will continue through at least 2030.
“This expansion along with the discussion of building another facility close to our customers is all part of our 10-year plan,”
MCRI has been experiencing steady growth averaging over 10% year over year. Based on the increased demand, MCRI’s expansion includes a 25,500 square-foot addition, with 1,300 square feet of internal office space. Motion Controls has more than 60 employees and generates approximately $20 million in annual gross sales.
We plan to invest more than $2 million to support increased automation technologies – a project expected to add at least 18 new jobs.
“We’ve been fortunate in developing strong partnerships with our regional educational institutions, including the University of Toledo, Vanguard Sentinel Career & Technology Centers and Terra State Community College, These schools have played major roles in offering us a high-quality workforce.”
– Scott Lang, President of Motion Control Robotics, Inc.
The MCRI expansion project is expected to be finished by spring/summer of 2023.
The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a Job Creation Tax Credit to assist in the expansion of Motion Controls Robotics.
JobsOhio, Regional Growth Partnership and the Sandusky County Economic Development Corporation worked collaboratively in moving this project forward.
“Motion Control Robotics’ $2 million investment in Fremont will position the company as one of the leading providers of robotic automation systems in North American. This expansion will elevate the company to the next tier of automation expertise and strengthen Ohio’s global position as an advanced manufacturing powerhouse.”
– J.P. Nauseef, JobsOhio President and CEO.
