Motion Controls Robotics was proud to host state and local representatives during The Sandusky County Chamber of Commerce tour event.
The Sandusky County Chamber of Commerce hosted an all day tour event showcasing local industries in Fremont, Ohio on Wednesday, March 11th. Participants in the tour visited three area businesses for a quick discussion and facility tour.
Motion Controls Robotics (MCRI) was selected to participate in this Sandusky County Tour lead by Angie Morelock from the Sandusky County Chamber of Commerce and included state and local government representatives:
- Chase Eikenbary, Northwest Ohio Regional Liaison for the Office of Ohio Governor John R. Kasich
- Jim Wyse, NW Regional Business Development Manager for the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation
- Mike Jay, Director of Strategic Networks with Regional Growth Partnership/JobsOhio
The tour gave visitors a chance to spend some time speaking with Tim Ellenberger, Vice President of Motion Controls Robotics, regarding challenges the robotics industry is facing, general business climate and successes experienced in the recent year.
After the discussion, the group took a tour of MCRI’s almost completed expansion project which includes more office spaces for the growing staff, a conference room and extra development space. They continued out onto the shop floor to go over the many robotics projects currently in development.
The robotics industry is growing. Future manufacturing in the United States will use 4-5 times the current automation. We appreciate the opportunity provided by the Sandusky County Chamber of Commerce to share our successes and concerns,” states Tim Ellenberger, Vice President of Motion Controls Robotics.
